Wizards of the coast called me up and asked what they could possibly do to promote the D&D 30th Anniversary Party for Gen Con attendees that would encompass the history of D&D, while somehow including turkey drumsticks, which is what would be served at the party. I said, "Easy - a massive bar fight!"

    This cover for the anthology
    “Tales From the Emerald Serpent,”
from Art of the Genre press, is very exciting for me, because the book contains my first ever published fiction.

My story, "Between," is in the middle of a three-author, three-story arc that begins with Michael Tousignant's big guy on the left, Dethocrates, and ends with Scott Taylor's machinating Savino on the right. Between them is Torrent, my character. She was great fun to write.

Tanya Huff is probably best known for her vampire stories, so when I first got this commission, I was expecting something creepy.

The most striking thing about this Magic: the Gathering art order was the intricate braids denoting position and authority, interwoven with gems and pieces of giant insect carapace.
